Volunteers, Partners in Mission
A  major source of talent for the Oblate enterprise in the mainland and Hong Kong are generous  and talented lay volunteers. . Five came for the six-weeks summer English program in Hong Kong organized by Fr. Slawek Kalisz, OMI.  Participating were James Meiksana, Angelo Zamparelli, Bev Watkison, Kay and Tommy Morrison.  After Hong Kong, Bev and Angelo then moved in to the mainland to assist with various aspects of the Oblate work there.

Deborah Van Der Zweep, of Melbourne, arrived in July to begin a six month commitment as a Partner in Mission (PIM) with the Oblate endeavor in the mainland.  Besides using her professional nursing skills with the infants and the older children of China Little Flower, Debbie also establishes local relationships with young people through teaching English.

Petrina Rinkin, who was a PIM for nine months till March of 2010, came back to assist with this years Summer English Camp. The presence of the volunteers and PIMs is a vital part of the Oblate presence.
