St.Mary's Star of the Sea, Sorrento

The Oblates moved from the west to the east coast of Australia in 1926, to the area of Sorrento in Victoria.   Up until 1948, Sorrento remained the only Oblate presence in the country outside of Western Australia.   The Oblates' ministry to the Sorrento area has been admirable since its inception, even hosting the first Rosies outreach to the homeless and marginalised, in Rosebud, 1975.

The current Parish Priest is Fr Kevin Davine, OMI.
