THE MISSIONARY OBLATES OF MARY IMMACULATE ARE A COMMUNITY OF PRIESTS AND BROTHERS WHO WORKING WITH THEIR EXTENDED 'FAMILY' OF COMMITTED LAY PEOPLE, endeavour to serve those most in need.
The information on this website can be used at any stage in the journey of your life as you try to find out where God asks you to be.
This presentation is complemented by the living witness of individual Missionary Oblates who are living and working in response to God's CALL to build up the Church through helping people to discover Christ in their lives.
If after reading this information you feel called to have a look at our way of life, please contact the Director of Vocations via the various contact methods listed at the end of this page.
The information in this section of the website compliments the information about the Congregation in other sections of the website.
The topics dealt with in this section cover some of the aspects of our life as MISSIONARIES. There will be many questions which you will want answered. For those answers it will be important for you to contact the Vocations Director at Camberwell (Melbourne) in Victoria (see details below). He will then suggest to you the name of an Oblate who lives close to you, or who would be willing to visit you.
As you continue to search for the answer to the question, "Does God want me to be an Oblate Missionary?" it will be very important to do three things:
To pray every day, asking that God's will be clearly known to you;
To attend the celebration of the Eucharist regularly;
To seek the advice from a Priest who knows you well, who may or may not be an Oblate.
Trust God. God loves you and will lead you to the answer that is best for you, so that you may find your goal.
